About Akshar Dhara
The name that an organisation or an individual goes by is the first step towards forming its identity. Further, this identity helps form recognition and uniqueness towards the particular organisation or individual that sets them apart from the rest.
Initially with this foundation, our main focus was on promoting education. We were inclined to choose the name ‘Akshardhara’ as it would fit our plans with this foundation. The word ‘Akshrdhara’ comprises of two words, “Akshar” and “Dhara”. ‘Akshar’, meaning character or a letter and ‘Dhara’ meaning current or flow, together encompassing the meaning, ‘Flow of words’. Before donating for any good cause to an organisation, stumbling upon the question, ‘Is my money being used for the right reasons or am I being exploited?’ is inevitable. Due to this same question, the decision of founding their own organisation arose.

OUR MISSION
Our efforts are channeled towards reaching the deprived regions of our society to provide all-inclusive education facilities for children and teachers that will allow us to directly improve the social infrastructure. We aim to make the people around aware about extra-curricular activities, sports, hygiene and health along with the importance of education. We plan to leverage the right people and technology to reach our objectives in arranging the state-of-the-art facilities that will help enrol more Adivasi children into the education system.
OUR VISION
We believe that every human being has the fundamental right to education and should be entitled to learn. We want to provide the basic and yet sophisticated resources to promote sustainable education in tribal areas. We want to give children a platform and opportunity to transform their lives and come out of abject poverty, lead a dignified life and fulfill their dreams.
